OBA STUDENT PACKING LIST

Day-by-Day Dress Schedule

Sunday: Check-In
Casual attire is appropriate for check-in and settling into camp. Wear comfortable shoes in the evening.

Monday: Casual
Wear comfortable, casual clothing suitable for workshops and activities.

​

Tuesday: Casual
Another day of casual attire for learning and collaborating.

​

Wednesday: Professional Business Attire
Dress in professional business attire for mock interviews, headshots, and the etiquette dinner. 

​

Thursday: Casual
Return to casual clothing for another day of workshops and team activities.

​

Friday: Professional Business Attire
Wear professional business attire again for presenting your business plans to a panel of judges.

Saturday: Tradeshow
Wear the OBA-provided shirt with casual bottoms for the tradeshow presentation.

Business Attire:

Business attire includes blazers, slacks, skirts, sports jackets, ties, belts, and professional shoes. Some students choose to re-wear their professional outfits, while others pack multiple options. Students will also have access to Benny’s Business Closet during camp to receive one full outfit at no cost. Example pictures are included below.

Comfortable Clothing:
  • Casual attire for downtime and activities

  • Comfortable pants, jeans, or shorts

  • T-shirts, blouses, or casual shirts

  • Sweater or light jacket for cooler evenings

  • Pajamas

Prepare for the available opportunities at the recreation center by packing accordingly. Additionally, there will be an optional basketball tournament for those interested.

Personal Care Items:
  • Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc.)

  • Hair styling products and tools

  • Shower shoes

  • Medications (if required)

  • Sunscreen

Dorm Room:

OBA is paying for “basic linen service” for all attendees. This includes a pillow, pillowcase, two flat sheets, microfiber blanket, and two towels. If you desire, you are welcome to also bring your own.

  • Hangers

  • Snacks and drinks (for personal preference)

  • Fan - the dorm rooms can get hot in the summer!

  • Foam pad for dorm bed (optional)

Electronics and Accessories:
  • Laptop or tablet for workshops and presentations

  • Chargers and cables for electronic devices

  • Portable phone charger

  • Headphones (optional)

 

Cell phones are permitted but must be used during appropriate times (not permitted during presentations) and should remain off or on silent during major activities such as speakers and company meetings.

*TV’s and other expensive items should not be brought to Business Week. Electrical appliances including refrigerators and portable air conditioning units are not permitted. Should any medications need to be refrigerated (i.e. insulin) please specify in the medical section of the form*

Comfortable Shoes:
  • Sneakers or walking shoes for daily activities

  • Comfortable dress shoes for professional events

Miscellaneous:
  • Reusable water bottle

  • Notebook and pens for taking notes

  • Sunglasses and regular glasses

  • There is an optional talent show. Please pack any materials you may need if you want to participate.

Optional:

Spending Money - The campus bookstore may be open during the week. Snacks and food may be ordered for delivery to campus during free time hours. If students choose to bring spending money, $50-$75 is a reasonable amount to bring.

 

OBA will not be responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal items.
